Adding or Reactivating a Company
Guidance on how to add a company into your list of companies to log into
(Guide for Sage50c Pastel Partner 19, but older versions will loosely follow the same method).
If a company is not in the list when you open up Pastel Partner or Pastel Xpress, you can add or reactivate companies to get them into this list by pointing Pastel to their location.
- First, open Pastel into the company list (File > Open). For this demonstration, the list is completely empty. You want to click the 'Manage' button.
- When you click 'Manage', you are shown another screen that will contain all of your added companies. This list is empty at the moment, but will be populated when we add a company in. Click the button labelled 'Add Company'.
- In the next window, you will be prompted to browse for your company. Here you need to find your data - the drop down box allows you to navigate to another drive if your data is on a computer different to the one you are using. You just need to double click the company folder then press 'OK', and this window will close.
- When you click 'OK' on your company, you should see the data in this list, and when you close this window, the company should appear in your company list.
Something similar that you might need to do is activate your company again. If the briefcase icon has a cross on it, it indicates the company is 'Inactive' and you must highlight and click 'Activate Company'. This is a similar process to adding the company - you just point to its location and click 'OK', and when you close these windows, the list of companies will be populated.
